Today I’m going to share another recipe with you. With “Super Bowl Sunday” coming up and all, I thought maybe you need to “pull something out of the hat”. I did talk about this before but didn’t post the recipe. I had a few “crazy” family members ask me about it and decided if they get the recipe so must everyone else. It’s too good to hide. 1 cup chopped pecans
2 Tablespoon butter
2 packages ( 8 ounces each ) cream cheese, softened
Saute pecans in butter until golden; set aside. Beat cream cheese until smooth. Add sour cream and garlic powder; mix well. Stir in beef and onion. Spread into a greased 8 in. square baking dish. Top with pecans. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 20 min. or until heated through. Serve with crackers. Awesome!
Maybe you should make 2 pans and hide the one from your company. That way you will be sure to get some. While everyone else is screaming and throwing things at the T.V., you can be eating yours in secret. And when they yell, “Mama, I need some more”, you won’t hear them because you locked yourself in the bedroom to eat in peace. Let me know how this all works out for you.
Speaking of cattle. Here they are. All lined up and waiting to go across the road and chow down on wheat grass. Looks kinda cold out there this morning. Yep, it was cold. The cats were “hogging” my fire. Shoo! Go away! They didn’t budge. They have to be removed with force. Here’s Barbara. The kids’ favorite cow. Next to Shooter that is. She’s quite the “ham”. She knows she’s cute. Soaks up all the attention. Little but mighty! She enjoys her daily hugs. She’s trying to be all cool, calm and collected. Well, it’s about that time again. I better go see what the bovines have to say tonight. It’s always something. Sometimes good, sometimes bad. Talk to ya real soon……Carol
