Alrighty…..here’s the scoop. Do you feel like the “hum drum” of daily life is about to take you down? Are you wondering if there really is life out there? Does civilization actually exist? If you’re asking yourself any of these questions……pack your bags! We are going to Waco, Texas. It is high time to take a little time off. I’ve been wanting to go for a long time……the farm girls are “outta” here. 015.jpg       Rule #1……stop and pick up my favorite Aunt….Emily Hostetler . Never attend events like this without her. She’s a little older and more mature, plus she knows her way around much better than I do. I can’t believe we’re actually here. So beautiful! We’re standing in front of the bakery. We got up at an unearthly hour to beat the rush. Cupcakes will do that to a person. Hurry, let’s go inside and get a little treat. 021.jpg      Ahhh…..yes! Delicious! We each got a different flavored cupcake, and each one was fabulous. Sometimes when food is produced in mass quantities it tends to lose its special taste. Not here. The icing was to die for….and the actual cake was moist and scrumptious. I would highly recommend eating at least 2 or maybe even 3. Lick your fingers off and don’t let any of it go to waste. 024.jpg       Ok, so now that we’re finished with our cupcakes, lets head on over to the store…..Magnolia. My Aunt is a very good sport. She posed for the camera. She knows I’m a little nuts in the head, so it’s totally “Ok”. 031.jpg     Inside was beautiful and crazy. People everywhere. Long lines for everything…..including the restrooms. Looks to me like civilization is “booming”. 033.jpg      I made a few purchases and then headed outside to check out the rest of the “story”. Of course, I had to stop and get a few ideas for my garden. I loved the plants. Everything was beautiful. Nothing appeared “heat stressed” to me. Unlike some of my plants. 051.jpg     Well who do we have here?! We are so out of our element……but loving every bit of it. I tried to be polite and not yell or scream, or chew with my mouth open, and not pick my nose, etc…… Not an easy task for me……rough around the edges. It’s the Mad Cow. 053.jpg     More of the beautiful gardens. I wish mine looked this fancy. And I want a little garden house just like this, but alas, I live on a dairy farm……where nothing is ever perfect. And I like it that way. I think. Keeps me grounded, or something like that. 038.jpg     There were lots of people milling around, having a good time. By the way…..this is “fake grass”. Why don’t I have this in my yard?! Think of all the extra time I would have. Here again…..I live on a dairy farm. 039.jpg       I also want a pavilion just like this. I could have huge “garden parties” with plenty of room to “spread your wings and fly”. What about those comfy looking bean bag chairs? I’ll take about a dozen of those too. Wow! How about just one of everything?! 044.jpg     Don’t forget the “Silos”, that’s what this is all about. Right?! I don’t know the history behind these 2 huge monsters, but I’m sure it’s interesting. They could sure hold a lot of cow feed. 023.jpg     All that walking around has made me very thirsty. Let’s take a “water bottle” break before we move on. Special bottles with the Silos logo. That makes the water taste better you know. Ahhh, so refreshing. Where else are we going? Comin’ up next……………………….Carol
